Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has asked Ruiru residents to agree to rename the
stadium 'William Samoei Ruto Stadium' on condition that he (Deputy President William Ruto) participates in equipping it once completed. “We are constructing a stadium(photo below) here in Ruiru and we would like to name
it after you. We will invite you to come and commission it on completion
as it will bear the name William Samoei Ruto Stadium,” he said.
Governor Kabogo added that Jubilee has been promoting friendship and brotherhood between
communities, religions and regions across the country. “President Uhuru
Kenyatta and the DP have worked tirelessly to promote peace and national
cohesion and they deserve accolades. We are sure Jubilee will win next
year,” the governor said. . He was speaking at the AIPCA Ruiru town church where the DP had gone to launch the Ruiru Deanery Medium Sacco on Sunday 26th June 2016.
He added that the Mount Kenya region will back Ruto as President in 2022.
