LETTER TO MY FATHER....R.I.P

(Dad and my Brother Karanja, 1983)
Dear Dad...

On this day, 16years ago, around 10pm,  you laid on your deathbed. You didn't know you were spending your last hours on earth. You were with Mum, and she kept giving you hope. If i knew you wouldn't come back home, I'd have spent every minute with you on that day...
Daddy, You are my hero, my protector, my teacher. You are my father and I love you dearly. I miss you here on Earth, but, I know that one day we will be together again on a new journey. You helped me through this life, from the time I was born till the day you left and died to this world. This is a message from me to you, Father. So many years ago you left us, Dad. That was a sad day for me and my siblings. Years, yet it seems like just a short while ago I sat with you and we talked of our days and how each one of us grew up.

Since you left us, Dad, a third generation of yours is beginning life and growing fast! This generation you have not seen in this world, but, I know that your spirit knows them.
They are fine people and would make you proud. There's a total of 10 of the 3rd generation of your lineage.. Even though you have not physically seen them and hugged them, you have left them a legacy and stories to pass on.
Your pictures that we treasure, memories of you, folk songs you sang to us, the wonderful toys you bought for us, how you made Christmas and the holidays so special,  all these memories are passed down to the little ones. This legacy continues on with this new generation.
The older I get, Dad, the more I realize just how much you gave me. You gave me the realization that my spiritual growth is of the utmost importance. You taught me that to grow spiritually I must listen to the voice of my soul: to sometimes enter into the silence to do so.
You taught me to respect Nature and Mother Earth. You taught us how to read the stars and how to watch for signs in the skies and in Nature.
I remember when I was about eight, standing outside with you and my siblings after dark. I was afraid of the dark, but felt safe knowing you were near. I can still see, when I stand outside in the dark, that night you pointed up to the heavens to show us the star that was near the full moon and told us all about it. You made us appreciate such beauty like that. You taught me how to be proud of myself, but, also how to be humble. You taught me to reach out to others when they are in need and to offer my hand in support. You imparted in me the importance of giving without expectations.I learned from you how to pay attention to my creative side as well as my logic. I learned to play a mini piano you had bought me after I excelled in school. Too bad you didn't hear me play the Christmas note, "Joy to the world".... From you I learned that all people are the same in God's eyes and that love is the greatest of all things.
You taught us how to pray; that the Holy Spirit guide and protect us. You gave us courage to try new things. You gave us the knowledge that to fail only means another door to a better opportunity has opened. I am much older now and it has been so long since you left us,  yet you are still teaching me in ways that come through memories and sometimes dreams.

Thank you, Dad, for being the loving father you were, to me & my siblings.... I love you with all my heart and soul..

R.I.P...

DO WE NEED AN INDIVIDUAL RUN OPPOSITION?

Its Such a pity! What has become of the opposition and its losers leaders?  Someone in the opposition explain why RAO is soo angry. The god of hate seems to have favoured him. He spoke bitterly about County Commissioners, and a few other things. First, we can try relate on a few issues that transpired before to brand such a loser a, well, loser. 1982 Coup. He failed miserably and enjoyed the coolers for a few years. He tried dethroning Kijana Wamalwa from his fathers party, he failed. He tried arm twisting Former Pres.Moi to let him b the torch bearer, he failed again. 2007, he failed clinching the presidency. He failed and here, he started showing his true colours. He called for Mass action that caused the deaths of over 1200 Kenyans. 2013, he failed again, but this time, he was afraid of the Hague somehow. He went to court and again, he found himself in the same position: fail basket. 2014, he planned for a storm, forgetting tht only God causes storm. But Alas! He got the rudest shock of his life so far. 5,000 people came while he expected 2,000,000 people to march & place him at state house! Now, he is still in denial mood and has called for "OKOA KENYA" shit. Something to do with referendum. His past ghosts have started calling. They have started with SK Macharia asking to be repaid his loan to CORD(read Raila) of 800million! Who will stand up and show this sorry sick old man that his time is now to leave? He has now become more of a booty licker. When Governor Kidero never attended one of his rallies, he went knocking on Kidero's City Hall's office to "show the people that they were still buddies"...During the SabaSaba "fake storm",Governor Ali Hassan Joho never showed up at Uhuru Park. Yesterday, he bootylicked all the way to Mombasa and bumped to Joho during an Iftar break. His time is up, This man Raila.

CRY, MY BELOVED NATION! Why Should We Go Against Each Other??

I am a Kenyan citizen no 24907***, born in Kericho. I found myself born in a Kikuyu family, of my Mum & Dad. My Dad(May he continue RIP) spoke a total of 10 Kenyan tongues, related well with the people of the languages he spoke. From Dholuo to Kipsigis, Maasai to Luhya, Kikamba to Kisii?.....Kooro?....Chamgee?...Sopa?...Murembe?...Waacha?..Mbiyore?... He smoothly spoke and you would have thought he belonged to that specific community. Did he go to school to learn that? Nope! He loved coexisting with his fellow countrymen. Tht explained further by how fast he mastered all those lingual differences. He taught us to live together as one. I have been brought up in a cosmopolitan town, grew up with different friends from diverse cultures, went to school and learnt of the different communities we got as Kenya, and maintained that relationship. Unlike some of tribal people who only got to mingle with other cultures when they were already adults, I got to have it all: Learnt of other cultures, played with them, lived amongst them, worked with them and loved them. I would like anyone who thinks am lying here to stand up and lay claims that I Abused or belittled them because of their tribe....
MY NAIVASHA EXPERIENCE:
Our country is burning inside because some selfish politicians want us to fight each other. Using petty excuses to bring attention and cause unnecessary tension. No one should tell you to go and burn your neighbours house and do so blindly! My friend, Audi Kim can attest to this: I nearly had my head chopped off at Naivasha(during the 2007 clashes) after some youths wanted us to do some dirty work for them and we were not for it. A shining "njora" was placed on my neck and one of the so ruthless men thundered that we should take them to some unwanted pples houses. We were at the middle of the road, between Naivasha Mixed High & KAG church. Kim & I were both shaken, and luckily, before any damage was done, the police appeared in the nick of time and shot in the air to disperse tht group. Our only mistake, we didn't speak fluent Kikuyu!...(FF>>) Now.....Fellow Kenyans from different ethnic backgrounds, should we go back that way because some politicians didn't get what they wanted? Every govt is worth its tenure, and that's why there's elections after every 5 years. Rem, this govt in place was elected by the majority, hence it being in power. So, trying to undermine the will of the people who voted it in is not democracy. Let the politicians in CORD stop polarising Kenya because we need to coexist as a country. Nobody is an outcast in our motherland! When they call us 'thieves' and 'takataka', they should say what I as a Kikuyu stole from those millionaire n billionaires politicians!
Luos should not move out of their homes in Naivasha! Kikuyus should not move out of their homes in Bungoma or Coast! Let us not foolishly and carelessly claim that "when raila takes power, you kikuyus will give us all tht property you stole"! I repeat, our parents and i worked hard to get what we got, and Jomo, Kibaki or Uhuru never brought anything to our palms to warrant such treatment & branding! Otherwise, we should and MUST reject their calls to assemble and cause havoc in our country

THESE HATE SPEECH MONGERS SHOULD BE STOPPED NOW!

Mpeketoni Death toll has now reached 48 people, including a police officer. If you think tht attack was a terrorist one, then u should wake up! Mpeketoni has the largest no of Kikuyus than any other coastal town. The fact that a witness said tht the gang lined up citizens, n before spraying them with bullets, told them,"ENDENI MKAMWAMBIE UHURU KENYATTA!" tells it all! Recently, Chania Buses were attacked(owned by kikuyus) and Githurai Buses too...Ask yourself a question: Why hate the kikuyus tht much? What has a Kikuyu done to u for them to die?

Tht is a purely tribal belief tht all kikuyus are thieves headed by one Raila Odinga n his nincompoop Johnstone muthama! This should stop! Now or Now! These people are going around claiming they are protected by the constitution, but what about the poor citizens who are dying innocently!?? Are the police sleeping or are the attackers taking advantage of tht? The UK definitely knew of the pending attack, otherwise, how can they explain the closure of their consulate in Mombasa a few days prior to the attack?? Did our NSIS kno about such? Why are they killing people freely? Let them kno, who lives by a sword dies by the same. The govt has to act NOW! apprehend all these hate mongers who ride across the country telling pple tht kikuyus r thieves n sparking hatred. When ole Lenku spoke, they told him to keep off politics. Who they fooling now? Thts not politics anymore that's a matter of national security! We need prayers for our nation and remember that God helps those who help themselves. We ought to start helping ourselves now by stopping Raila in his tracks. Then we will see prayers doing wonders to the rest of his hate spreading team! President Uhuru Kenyatta, do something now. Don't b afraid of the aftermath of arresting tht blood-thirsty fooh, we need to enjoy our lives... I still say, something has to b done to stop RAILA AMOLLO ODINGA now! He should go back to his Karen home or retire to Bondo WEF!!!

Way To go, Mr.President!! They should Follow the leader!

Our President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued an ultimatum to parastatal chiefs to either take a 20 per cent cut in salary or resign. This is aimed at managing the overwhelming public sector wage bill that is out of control. The President boldly and with ultimate authority told those not comfortable with reduced pay to quit office, adding that the Government was ready to fire and pay a severance package to any parastatal chief not willing to take a pay cut. According to the treasury, the amount of money paid as salaries and allowances to Government employees has doubled over the last five years to about Sh500 billion this financial year from Sh240 billion in the 2008/2009 financial year. The pay cuts, which are to be affected immediately, are likely to be cascaded to middle-tier and eventually low-cadre civil servants in a move that was set in motion last week.On further contrast, County governments have worsened the country’s public wage crisis, eroding gains that were expected to be reaped from devolution. The move by counties to haphazardly employ additional staff yet others were seconded from national government is among ways the regions have fuelled the public wage crisis. This came out Monday at the National Debate on Public Wage Bill Sustainability forum held in Nairobi. President Uhuru Kenyatta was among the first to fault county administrations. The President said that the devolved units seem to have inherited the tradition of inflated wage bills, eating into resources meant for development projects in counties. He added that there was need to streamline the management of salaries at all levels of Government. Some of the employees inherited from the defunct local authorities are said to be earning more than those in national government, despite having similar qualifications.

THE BEST COVERAGE IS COMING

Well, am back, was tied up with other things and a lot of things happened. To start with, the Governors are behaving badly. Recently, EMBU governor was impeached. Kiambu governor allegedly abused Women single women. Nairobi governor reconciled with Rachel Shebesh, whom he had slapped a few months ago. Machakos governor seems to b the only one who is development minded.Well, am not to judge. Currently, the ongoing ICC OTP saga is the headlines news in Kenya today. Witnesses are pulling out, claims of USAID coaching witnesses has come up and burning like wildfire. Ocampo for the first time Since retiring from the ICC said that some diplomats wanted him to arrest Uhuru Kenyatta n William Ruto during the campaign period to stop them from running for the presidency. This news has not been taken lightly by the Jubilee members or the government and now, people are calling for the the halting of the ICC cases which apparently were politically motivated! Our country needs to go forward and if the cases go on, healing would b a difficult process.I need to sit down and check on a few things, and we shall keep communicating. I promise more on this blog in the coming days.
